DESCRIPTION:Did you know that CERN is hit by computer security attacks on 
 a daily basis? Or that in 2006 alone\, more than 150 computers had to be r
 e-installed following a security break-in?\n\nBreak-ins are costly inciden
 ts since recovery and repair can take days\, with the risk that work and d
 ata may be lost\, especially if they are stored on un-backed-up local disk
 s.\n\nMost incidents at CERN are due to a lack of security awareness among
  computer users\, and this is why Denise Heagerty of the IT Department\, w
 ho is in the front-line of the battle against security break-ins at CERN\,
  has offered to talk to members of DSU and the Safety Commission\, to expl
 ain the dangers associated with:\n\n- the use of unauthorised applications
 \n- the numerous tricks that attackers may use on you\n- suspicious Web li
 nks and "pop-ups"\,\n- etc.\n\nand offer advice on how to combat these dan
 gers.\n \nThis talk is open to all personnel in DSU and the Safety Commiss

 taques tous les jours? Ou que\, seulement en 2006\, plus de 150 ordinateur
 s ont du être réinstallés suite à une attaque informatique?\n\nCes att
 aques coutent cher\, car la réparation et la remise à niveau peut prendr
 e des jours\, avec le risque qu’une partie du travail et des données so
 ient perdus\, notamment s’ils avaient été sauvegardé sur un disque lo
 cal sans copie de sauvegarde.\n\nLa plupart des incidents au CERN sont dus
  à un manque de connaissance des dangers liés à la sécurité informati
 que parmi les utilisateurs. Pour cette raison Lionel Cons du département 
 IT\, qui est engagé en première ligne sur le front de la sécurité info
 rmatique au CERN\, a proposé d'exposer aux membres du département FI les
  dangers associés à:\n\n- l'utilisation de logiciels et outils informati
 ques non autorisés \;\n- les nombreux trucs et tours dont vous pourriez 
 être victimes \;\n- les adresses internet et "pop-up" dont il vaut mieux 
 se méfier\;\n- etc.\n\nM. Cons sera la pour vous donner des conseils et f
 aire des suggestions pour prévenir ces dangers.\n\nla présentation est o
