DESCRIPTION:In this course you will learn how to build and test grid middl
eware\nand applications using the ETICS Service. You will also discover
how\nOMII-Europe leverages ETICS to perform build and test\, with a focus
on interoperability.\n\nThis course is suited to developers of Grid applic
ations and middleware.\nIt is particularly relevant to those developing wi
 th gLite\, UNICORE\, CROWN\, OMII-UK or GT4. \n\nETICS stands for "eInfras
tructure for Testing\, Integration and Configuration of Software". It pro
vides a service to help software developers\, managers and users to better
manage complexity and improve the quality of their software. Using cutti
ng edge Grid software and best practices\, our service allows you to fully
automate the way your software is built and tested. In other words\, ETIC
S provide software professionals with an "out-of-the-box" build and test s
ystem\, powered with a build and test product repository.\n\nOMII-Europe i
s an EU project which has been established to source key software componen
ts for Grid applications and to ensure that these components can interoper
ate across heterogeneous Grid middleware platforms.\n\n\nTo apply to atten
d this course please use this form.\n\n\nThe event will be held in: Under
 graduate Training Room\, Location:\nManchester Computing\, Kilburn Buildin

DESCRIPTION:Workshop has been postponed due to lack of participants.\n\nIn
this course you will learn how to build and test applications using the E
TICS Service\, how to design your OMII-Europe components in the ETICS and
include then into the OMII-Europe repository. \n\n\n\nThis course is suite
d to OMII-Europe developers\, particularly to JRA members that produce sof
tware that is targeted to be available in the OMII-Europe repository. \n\n
\n\nETICS stands for "eInfrastructure for Testing\, Integration and Config

for this event\, lunch will not be included (will be paid by participants
) - we will go together to a restaurant at CERN (Restaurant 2\, map).\n\n\
n\nImportant information:\nRegistration is important as entering to the CE
RN area and access to the CERN computer network are limited.\n\nIt is requ
ired to have a personal\, valid certificate signed by certificate authorit
y recognized by EUGridPMA. Please contact your local certificate authority
if you do not have the certificate yet. \nThe certificate has to be insta
lled in a web-browser and available as well in .pem format (required for t
he ETICS command-line client).\n\nIt is required to bring your laptop with
a wireless network adapter. Computers will NOT be provided during the eve

on your machine: Mozilla Firefox 2.x\, OpenSSL.\nIf you are using Windows:
Mozilla Firefox 2.x\, an account in a GNU/Linux machine (for command line
execution).\n\nIt is highly recommended to register your personal certifi
cate in the ETICS\n(registration procedure).\n\nIt is highly recommended t
o register your laptop in the CERN network database before you arrive (reg
