DESCRIPTION:In Weinberg’s asymptotic safety approach to quantum gravity\
, one has a finite dimensional critical surface for a UV stable fixed poin
t to generate a theory of quantum gravity with a finite number of physical
parameters. The task is to demonstrate how this fixed point behavior actu
ally arises. We argue that\, in a recently formulated extension of Feynman
’s original formulation of the theory\, which we have called resummed qu
antum gravity\, we recover this fixed-point UV behavior from an exact re-a
rrangement of the respective perturbative series. We argue that the result
s we obtain are consistent both with the exact field space Wilsonian renor
malization group results of Reuter and Bonanno and with recent Hopf-algebr
aic Dyson-Schwinger renormalization theory results of Kreimer. We calculat
e the first "first principles" predictions of the respective dimensionless
gravitational and cosmological constants and argue that they support the
Planck scale cosmology advocated by Bonanno and Reuter as well. Comments o
n the prospects for actually predicting the currently observed value of th
e cosmological constant are also given.\n\nhttp://indico.cern.ch/conferenc

DESCRIPTION:Using  only very well established experimental information su
 ch as S(Bd->psi Ks)\, DeltaM_Bq\, epsilon_K\, Br(B->tau nu) etc and well e
stablished input from the lattice such as B_K\, Xi_s\, f_Bq ..\; we show t
hat the "predicted" value of sin2\nbeta is bigger than the directly measur
ed value by over 3-sigma. Through a series of critical analysis\, we furth
er isolate the dominant source of new physics to be in B-mixings and/or in
B->psi Ks decay and the dominant source is NOT in\nB-> tau nu or in  eps
ilon_K. This has the important implication that a model independent operat
or analysis then leads to the conclusion that scale of relevant new physic
s\, possessing a new CP-odd phase\, has to be below about 2 TeV  and poss
ibly even a few hundred GeV. Implications for two specific BSM scenarios f
or LHC as well as for high intensity experiments will be discussed.\n\nhtt
