DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the German ministry of Education and Research (BM
BF)\, the objective of the 10th Germany@CERN is to provide german companie
s with business and networking opportunities at CERN. The 10th Germany@CER
N is accompanied by a forum of innovation\, organised jointly by BMBF\, BI
COM and Bruecke Osteuropa e.V.. This forum is intended to present CERN's t

DESCRIPTION:The extremely challenging operational conditions of the Large
Hadron Collider at CERN has led to many innovative solutions for the treat
ment and processing of materials to reach particular properties that were
unachievable with commercial methods. The forum on material and surface te
chnologies for accelerators will inform the participants about the resulti
ng expertise and technologies that are available for exploitation in high
energy physics and in other domains and on the challenges in material and
surface technology to be addressed by CERN within the execution of the phy
sics program in the future.\n\nThis forum aims at bringing together indust
ry\, universities and research centres from CERN member states that are ac
tive in domains such as vacuum technology\, surface technology and treatme
nt\, nanotechnology\, new materials\, environmental technology and cryogen
ics. It addresses in particular decision makers such as researchers\, CTO
 ’s\, R&D directors\, Licensing Managers\, Technology Scouts and others i
nterested in exploring and acquiring new and innovative technologies.\n\nT
o register to this event\, please complete the registration form.\n\nFor m
 ore information\, please contact: helpdesk-tt or +41 22 767 84 44.\n\nhttp

icle super-colliders based in Geneva\, Switzerland\, is organizing an indu
stry-academia matching event on Silicon Photomultipliers and related techn

ther experts from academia and industry active in the field of leading edg
e photon detection\, to provide an overview on state-of-the-art technologi
es and to define a roadmap towards collaborative R&D on key solutions for
SiPM photo detection in different application domains.\n\nhttp://indico.ce

DESCRIPTION:\n	\n CERN\, in collaboration with HiLumi and TIARA\, organiz
es a 2-day workshop on superconducting technologies for accelerators of th
e next generation. Experienced researchers and leading companies in the fi
eld of superconductivity will gather at the Globe of Science and Innovatio
n to explore the technical challenges emerging from the design of new acce
lerator machines and to match them with state-of-the-art industrial soluti
ons. Through a knowledge exchange between Research Institutes and commerci
al partners\, the workshop will focus on three main thematic areas: high a
nd low field magnets\, superconducting cavities\, cryostats and supercondu
cting links.Every talk will be followed by a Q&A session of 5 minutes maxi
 mum.\n\n\nhttp://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=196164
