DESCRIPTION:With the discovery of a Higgs boson at ~125 GeV\, the worldwid
e high-energy physics community is investigating possible next steps for e
ntering a new domain in physics. Among the most powerful tools to do so ar
e hadron colliders that go beyond the LHC reach.\nThis workshop aims to ta
ke stock of the work done for the so-called High Energy LHC (HE-LHC) or th
e newly discussed Very High Energy LHC (VHE-LHC)\, and bring the community
together for a discussion on various options. The workshop will review bo
th p-p and p-pbar collisions options\, and will try identify the critical
needs for accelerator R&D\, the interface with detectors\, and possible co
st scaling.\nThe workshop is by invitation only (ask the organizers for an
invitation)\, and the outcome of this workshop will be used as input for
the U.S. Snowmass 2013. Participants shall take care of the relevant autho
rization from their hierarchy and of financial support\, except when other
 wise agreed with the organizers.Organizing Committee\nWilliam Barletta\, M
arco Battaglia\, Markus Klute\, Soren Prestemon\, Lucio Rossi\, and Frank
 Zimmermann.\n\nhttp://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=223094

DESCRIPTION:Charge of the review panel:\nThe committee should look into th
e various aspects of the presented upgrade baseline and advise in particul
ar on the need to pursue R&D on 11T dipoles for a possible installation in
the LHC for LS2.\n\n Are the assumptions for performance reach estimates
appropriate and adequately addressed?\n	\n Is the present upgrade strate
gy appropriate in view of being able to take a decision in 2015?\n	\n Is
there any aspect that has been overlooked?\n\nA final report should be pro
duced and delivered to Steve Myers and Stefano Redaelli.Reviewers:\nMike S
 eidel (PSI\, Chair)\, Giorgio Apollinari (FNAL)\, Wolfram Fischer (BNL)\,
Marzio Nessi (ATLAS)\, Rudiger Schmidt (CERN/ESS)\, Carsten Omet (GSI).\n\
