DESCRIPTION:It is our pleasure to announce that the “Grid Camp 2007\, WL
CG Tier - 2 & EU-IndiaGrid Workshop” will be held at Academia Sinica in
Taipei\, Taiwan from 28 October to 1 November\, 2007. The purpose of “Gr
 id Camp 2007\, WLCG Tier - 2 & EU-IndiaGrid Workshop” is to coordinate a
nd provide Asia countries Grid operation support and training to enhance t
heir ability to establish stable Grid environment. This event aims to trai
n system administrators in preparation for deploying and operating a Grid
resource centre\, to expand e-Science infrastructure to extend the reach o
f Grid resources to end users\, and to facilitate the regional e-Science i
nfrastructure and application development and coordinate regional collabor
 ations. The Camp consists of 3-day tutorial\, 2-day WLCG Tier-2 and 1-day
EU-IndiaGrid Workshop. The first 3-day tutorial is designed to help audien
ces quickly learning the important Grid concepts and gain practical Grid d
eployment skills. The tutorial starts with an introduction to EGEE infrast
ructure\, followed by detailed presentations on the primary Grid middlewar
e and components\, such as gLite technical overview\, Security and Informa
tion System\, Work Load Management and Data Management. Presentations prov
iding practical information on operating and maintaining a Grid resource c
entre are also included\, such as administrating and troubleshooting a Gri
d resource centre\, and hands-on testing. To set up a good and effective c
 ommunication between Tier-1 and Tier-2 centres\, the 2-day WLCG workshop w
