 Organization\; TPU: Tomsk Polytechnic University\; and JAI@RHUL: John Adam
 s Institute at Royal Holloway\, University of London was established to in
 vestigate a possibility to generate intense electromagnetic beams in THz a
 nd soft X-ray spectral ranges. One experimental setup was created and inst
 alled at the LUCX facility at KEK to investigate stimulated coherent diffr
 action radiation. The second setup is being designed and will be devoted t
 o investigation of Smith-Purcell radiation generated from gratings of vari
