scattering processes \ncan be measured at the LHC\, and what the relevance

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: LANCE DIXON (SLAC)\nResummation of soft-gluon exchan
ge for QCD hard scattering\nrequires an anomalous dimension matrix in colo
r space.\nWe compute this matrix directly for arbitrary massless \nprocess
es for the first time at two loops\, and\nshow that it is proportional to
the one-loop matrix. \nThis result reproduces the 1/eps pole terms in pre
vious explicit\ntwo-loop computations\, and predicts such terms for arbitr
ary processes.\nThe proportionality of the one- and two-loop matrices \nal
so makes it possible to resum in closed form the\nnext-to-next-to-leading
 logarithms for arbitrary processes.\n\nhttp://indico.cern.ch/contributionD

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: MICHAEL SPIRA (PSI)\nThe loop-induced processes gg -

evatron and LHC in a large range of the\nminimal supersymmetric extension
of the Standard Model. For squark\nmasses below ~400 GeV squark loop contr
ibutions become important in\naddition to the top and bottom quark loops.
The two-loop QCD corrections\nto the squark contributions of these process
es are determined including\nthe full squark and Higgs mass dependences. T
hey turn out to be of\nO(10-100%) and thus important for the Tevatron and
LHC experiments.\nSquark mass effects of the K factors can be of O(20-30%)

of NLO corrections to multi-leg processes serious numerical\nproblems aris
e in the commonly used Passarino-Veltman reduction of tensor to\nscalar in
tegrals in exceptional phase-space configurations.\nIn this talk two alter
native methods are discussed solving this problem.\nOne of the methods rel
ies on a seminumerical approach\, in which a specific\ntensor coefficient
is evaluated numerically\, replacing the standard scalar\nintegral in the
list of basis integrals. The other method makes use of\nexpansions in term
s of small Gram and (if needed) other kinematical\ndeterminants. Both proc

from the full one-loop\namplitude of arbitrary scattering processes. In a

relevant for the upcoming LHC. First applications are presented.\n\nhttp:/
