DESCRIPTION:The Fermi-LAT lobes (Su et al 2010) are two large structures o
 bservable in gamma-rays above and below the Galactic center. In order to u
 nderstand the physical origin of the Fermi lobes\, it is crucial to have a
  model independent derivation of their properties. I will present a new me
 thod to study the components of diffuse emission called the spectral compo
 nents analysis (Malyshev 2012). At first\, as an example\, I will apply th
 is method to the WMAP data and then I will show some preliminary results o
 f the Fermi-LAT data analysis related to the Fermi lobes.\n\nhttp://indico
