DESCRIPTION:The hardware commissioning of the LHC is well underway and wil
 l continue through the autumn/winter/spring\, progressively delivering mor
 e and more equipment to Operations. While the 8 sectors of the machine are
  all rather similar from the point of view of the circuits driving the mag
 nets\, the other accelerator systems are very varied. We have envisaged th
 at when a sector\, for example\, is ready\, we will enter a phase of opera
 tions testing of this sector. As more and more sectors and accelerator sys
 tems become available to operations\, the activity begins to look more and
  more like the machine checkout to get ready for beam. \n\nFor each accele
 rator system we will need to go through several phases\;\n1.	Installation\
 n2.	Component tests\n3.	Individual system tests\n4.	Integration into opera
 tion\n5.	Machine checkout\n6.	Beam commissioning\n\nThe purpose of this wo
 rkshop is for OP to get a first look for each system\;\n•	The present st
 atus of the system\n•	The plans for commissioning without beam\n•	Are 
 all the tools in hand and what is needed from OP\n•	What do we get when 
 this phase is finished\n•	Beam requirements if there is time\n\nhttp://i
