DESCRIPTION:SCOAP3 is a consortium aiming to facilitate Open Access publis
 hing in High Energy Physics by re-directing subscription money. Many count
 ries have already expressed their interest to join SCOAP3.\n\nOnly worldwi
 de consensus can make SCOAP3 successful\, and every single US library can 
 make a difference to make Open Access happen.\n\nThe University of Califor
 nia at Berkeley will host a focal meeting to discuss the implementation of
  the SCOAP3 model in the US. Breakout sessions will elaborate a strategy f
 or library consortia and individual libraries to join SCOAP3. Finally\, we
