DESCRIPTION:The experiments at the Tevatron proton-antiproton collider hav
 e provided us with the discovery of the top quark\, precision measurements
  of the top quark and the W boson masses\, the discovery of the B_c meson\
 , a flood of measurements related to b-physics\, tests of QCD and much mor
 e. In April 2001\, after a shutdown of about 5 years\, the Tevatron resume
 d luminosity operation. I will present a selection of the Tevatron's physi
 cs highlights\, discuss in detail the status and prospects of Run 2 data t
