 enter\n\nThe Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA)\nis the most complete labo
 ratory\nfor R&D activities concerning concentrated solar radiation. It was
 \nborn in the early eighties as an IEA project aimed to demonstrate the\nt
 echnical feasibility of generating electricity by the solar thermal\npath.
  PSA became an R&D center and widened the range of industrial\napplication
 s to study. The current situation in Spain allows to think\nvery positivel
 y about the inmediate commercial deployment of these\ntechnologies. This s
 peech will review the history and capacities of\nthis center.\n\nAbout the
