DESCRIPTION:The Network Economics and Services Group of the Theory\, Econo
 mics and Systems Laboratory of the Athens University of Economics and Busi
 ness in conjunction with the “Greek Research and Technology Network” (
 GRNET) are organizing the “Advanced Issues in Grid Technologies” two d
 ay seminar in Athens\, Greece. The seminar\, held in the context of the 
 “Enabling Grids for E-sciencE II” (EGEE-II) project which is funded by
  the European Union\, will take place at the AUEB Graduate Studies Buildin
 g\, Eyelpidon St. 47A and Leykados St. 33\, Room 608\, 6th floor\, on Thur
 sday 29th and Friday 30th of June.\n\nThe seminar will include:\n•	Intro
 duction to Grid systems\n•	Grid systems and e-Science\n•	Presentation 
 of the EGEE project and the Grid initiative in Greece\n•	Presentation on
  the EGEE architecture\, infrastructure and middleware\n•	Hands-on exerc
 ises for submitting jobs to the Grid\n•	Introduction to Grid application
 s development (application programming\, MPI)\n•	Introduction to Grid ad
 ministration\nThe seminar is intended for researchers and members of acade
 mia of our region who would like to get hands-on experience with the servi
 ces provided by the EGEE project.\nVenue:\nThursday and Friday\, 29-30/06/
