| Description |
Western Superconducting Technologies Co., Ltd. (WST) is located in Xi’an City, China. As the only Chinese LTS producer, WST takes on all the Chinese share of superconducting strand in the ITER Project, including 180 tons of NbTi strand (69% PF, 100% CC and Feeder) and 30 tons of Nb3Sn strand (7.5% TF). Up to now, both the NbTi and Nb3Sn strand for ITER produced at WST have been qualified by ITER Organization: the low-temperature and room-temperature performances satisfy the ITER specifications and show stability. Five Sultan samples made by WST NbTi strand, WST internal-tin Nb3Sn strand, and WST bronze Nb3Sn strand, all passed the ITER qualification test in CRPP, Switzerland. The talk gives an overview of the activity on LTS at WST and of the characteristics of the produced conductors. |
