Description
The effective interaction formalism allows to compare results among different strategies of searching for Dark Matter (Direct, Indirect, collider) as well as with the requirement of the correct relic abundance. We briefly discuss its working principle. We then discuss the assumptions under which it is applied to actually translate experimental results of Direct and Indirect detection into a determination of the DM properties.
