| Description |
Simulations of QCD at nonzero baryon number are associated with severe sign problems and noise, so far an insurmountable obstacle to connecting QCD to the properties of ordinary matter. Using continuum field theory I investigate analytically the connections between this sign/noise problem and the phenomenon of chiral symmetry breaking. The findings offer some hope that the problem might eventually be overcome. |
