Description

The ISOLDE facility prides itself for providing some of most exotic and purest beams available for radioactive ion research. Those beams are the result of a very strong programme at the target and ion source level and at the experiment level. In this presentation, I shall outline some of the recent developments that have lead to the study of the exotic nuclei beyond Z=82, such as the Laser Ion Source Trap (LIST), the Collinear Resonance Ionisation Spectroscopy experiment (CRIS), or the ISOLTRAP tandem Penning trap setup.
