The event will focus on showcasing the Helix Nebula production platform, characterized by:
  • A hybrid & federated ‘science cloud’ integrated with commercial providers to create an open cloud services market
     
  • A growing set of innovative flagships
  • Future directions and roadmap of the overall Helix Nebula Initiative
 
Attendance is free of charge, travel and lodging will be at the cost of participants.

The event will take place in the Globe for Science and Innovation at CERN (opposite the tram stop).

Information on how to reach CERN can be found at the following "webpage". As you can see, a free shuttle is available from/to the airport. The timetable can be found here.
 

If you need to book accommodation for your stay, there are various options. One option is the CERN hostel (basic rooms with shower and WC) on the CERN campus. Book early, as it is often fully booked.

There are many hotels in neighbouring France and in/around Geneva. Please note that public transport on the French side of the boarder is scarce.

To obtain a wireless access, register your laptop BEFORE 14 May on the IT department website. The contact person should be Rachida Amsaghrou (IT-DI). 


You will have the opportunity to visit two exhibitions on Particle Physics and CERN. More information can be found here.

The lunch and evening cocktail will take place in the Globe of Science and Innovation at CERN.
