LHC Detector Alignment Workshop

Description
The four LHC experiments, ATLAS, ALICE,CMS and LHCb are organizing a LHC
Alignment workshop from the 4th to 6th of September. The workshop will be held
at CERN.

The goal of the Workshop is to provide a forum to share ideas and information
on the issues related to alignment of detectors, with particular emphasis on
tracking detectors. The general program of the workshop will highlight four
main areas:

* Discussion of mathematical and statistical methods as they apply to alignment
* Lessons from previous experiments
* Alignment plans for LHC experiments, both hardware & software
* Constants management (storage & retrieval ), software-enabling tools,
   tools for simulating misalignments, etc
