This is an n_TOF event. After the Winter Schools of Les Houches in 2003 and Flachau in 2004, the n_TOF Collaboration has planned a Spring School to be held next 25, 26, and 27 March, 2009 in Arcetri, near Firenze, Italy, at the Galileo Galilei Institute for Theoretical Physics (GGI).
The school will cover topics such as Nuclear Astrophysics, Advanced Reactor Technologies, Nuclear Data Measurements, R-matrix theory, etc.
The end of March 2009 is linked to the retirement from CERN of the n_TOF Technical Co-ordinator, Paolo Cennini. The school is organized also to mark this important event for the n_TOF Collaboration.
REGISTRATION: fill in this form.

HOW TO REACH THE SCHOOL SITE:
The easiest solution to reach the School Site in Arcetri from the airport is by taxi, with a ride of about 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic situation. Otherwise the public (bus) transport is available: from the airport there is a shuttle transport (Line "Volainbus") that goes from the airport to the Central Train station. From there the bus number 11 (that starts from Piazza dell'Unita', close to the Central station) goes towards the conference site passing from Porta Romana. Then you should jump off at the stop in Via del Gelsomino on the Poggio Imperiale. From there it's about 10 minutes by walking until the entrance of the GGI. Another solution from Porta Romana would be to take the number 38, which is a "on-request" service. This bus stops directly in front of the GGI. The number to call for a transport is 800.019794 (from fixed) or 199.500794 (from mobile).
