Physics and detectors at a linear e+e- collider

In the morning of October 21st 2009 a public event is organised in CERN's main auditorium with the aim of informing the particle physics community about the physics potential and current detector development for a future e+e- linear collider (ILC or CLIC). The three presentations will provide an overview of the physics opportunities, the proposed detector concepts and the worldwide detector R&D for the linear collider.

This event is organised in the framework of the EUDET project (http://www.eudet.org/ ), which is supported by the European Union in the  6th Framework Programme. The EUDET project comprises 31 European partner institutes from 12 different countries working in the field of High Energy Physics. In addition, 24 associated institutes contribute to the EUDET research infrastructure which the aim to support the linear collider detector R&D in Europe.
