Description
The GCCP2009 workshop ( http://conference.ui.sav.sk/gccp2009/ ) is intended for researchers and practitioners working with complex (scientific) applications, as well as for all users and developers who are interested in high performance and cluster computing, distributed computing, service-oriented computing, and grid computing. A number of invited lectures will be given by international-renowned grid experts.
Training course (including tutorial) for Grid users and application developers:
The workshop will include the training course with tutorial which will address the potential and also experienced grid users and application developers who wish to get knowledge of the last phase of the project EGEE and the new project EGI - European Grid Initiative (currently in the state of proposal), further, the course will be concerned with the grid security, grid middlewares, high-level grid tools, and the methodology of porting applications to grid.
Participants of the hands-on tutorial are advised to bring their own laptops for this session with having an SSH client installed (e.g. PUTTY on Windows, SSH terminal on Linux).
