The EGEE project brings together experts from over 27 countries with the common aim of building on recent advances in Grid technology and developing a service Grid infrastructure in Europe which is available to scientists 24 hours-a-day.
During the Induction we will present the grid technology and will allow users to experience the grid. Two system will be presented and will be used for hands-on:
- Gilda system - Intuitive GUI for grid which was developed within the EGEE project.
- Condor - Mechanisms and policies tool that supports High Throughput Computing (HTC) on large collections of distributively owned computing resources.
