Fabric Management - I (11:30 ->13:15 )

Fabric Management goals for the workshop

  • What is minimal fabric monitoring that grid operations needs?
  • What packages are available?
  • Improving fabric resilience - db service backups
  • Middleware portability - using other linux distributions - work done in FZK, Croatia, etc.
  • Can we get a fabric management cookbook? Needed as part of EGEE/SA1 cookbook, but needed in its own right.

  • Integrating LCG Service Challenges and pre-production service into the regular operations
  • Monitoring tools: where are we? what is missing? How do we fill in the gaps?
