lecture New paths to particle dark matter
Date/Time: from Thursday, 29 March 2012 (13:00) to Friday, 30 March 2012 (16:50) (Europe/London)
Location: University of Oxford ( Sciama Lecture Theatre, Denys Wilkinson Building, Department of Physics )
Chairperson: Subir Sarkar (University of Oxford), Stephen West (Royal Holloway, University of London), Celine Boehm (University of Durham)
Description: The aim of this meeting is to discuss recent developments concerning searches for dark matter, as well as relevant astrophysical issues and particle phenomenology. On Thursday 29th March there will be a Half-day Meeting (2-6 pm) to take stock of the field, while Friday 30th March will be devoted to a Workshop (9 am-4 pm) concerning both theory and experiment. For directions please see: http://www2.physics.ox.ac.uk/contacts/how-to-find-us . We invite all those interested to participate - please register via the link below *before noon on 23rd March*.
There is no registration fee and lunch and tea/coffee will be provided on both days for registered participants (please fill in your requirements on http://doodle.com/57rkduyamq7c4r75). They are expected to cover their own travel and stay (if you do need support please ask). Those staying the night can book themselves a room in a nearby College on http://www.oxfordrooms.co.uk . Please aim to arrive on 29th March at ~1 pm for the pre-meeting lunch and discussions.
We acknowledge the generous support of the IoP UK (Astroparticle Physics & High Energy Particle Physics Groups) and, especially, IPPP Durham.
