| Description |
The event coincidence method of measuring the entropy of a statistical
system, proposed some time ago by Ma, is generalised to include systems out of equilibrium. The physical interpretation of coincidence probabilities is discussed and their relation to entropy demonstrated.
The method can be used to investigate multiparticle states produced in
high-energy collisions.
