      LHCOPN MONITORING
      -----------------
The recommendation is for all LHCOPN sites to purchase new hardware with 10G interfaces based on Shawn's specifications (DELL with LHC discount ~$900 per server, more detail will come) for their perfSONAR-PS
installations. Nevertheless, all sites are free to decide between the two flavours of PERFSONAR, since they are meant to be compatible. There were no voices of dissent. Domenico stated that the current MDM servers (owned by DANTE but depreciated) could probably be donated to other sites, but that he would have to check. He mentioned that DANTE have a dedicated support engineer for LHCOPN/LHCONE for those in the community wishing to use perfSONAR-MDM.For LHCOPN, the consensus was that the managed service provided by DANTE was not necessary.

CERN provided Jason with the results of the security tests that they ran on the perfSONAR-PS servers, and he will pass them on to the developers. It was also agreed that it would be good to restrict the perfSONAR-PS web-sites to people holding a valid grid certificate

      LHCOPN ROUTING
      --------------
Tier1s connected also to the LHCONE will have to check their routing
metrics to be sure to always prefer LHCOPN paths to reach the Tier0 and
the Tier1s, also in case of failure of the primary link.
Edoardo will send a reminder and organize some checks.

      LHCONE
      ------
The current status of the LHCOPN prototype was presented. Several sites are already connected and are exchanging traffic. Users expect more information. Edoardo will take care to put more details on the LHCONE twiki.

Mian presented a prototype document on LHCONE procedures and operations. More work on the subject was urged.

There was general agreement that this infrastructure may hardly scale and we should move to the routed infrastructure agreed in Washington as soon as possible. However there's still not a clear proposition on how
to implement it. The architecture must also allow dynamic lightpath.

The Architecture WG was urged to meet as soon as possible to provide a solution.
In the meantime, the work on the Shared VLAN should continue in order to gather resources, interested users, experience on traffic flows.
