DESCRIPTION:Speakers: KAUDER\, Kolja (University of Illinois at Chicago)\n
Hard scatterings of partons provide a valuable colored probe of the\nstron
gly-coupled medium created in ultra-relativistic heavy ion\ncollisions. Th
ese hard scatterings can be studied by means of angular\ncorrelations of
charged hadrons with respect to a high transverse\nmomentum trigger parti
 cle. Several recent two-particle correlation\nstudies indicate that A+A c
ollision dynamics evolve significantly\nwith collision centrality. They sp
ecifically reveal the presence of\nunexpected strong away-side deformation
and the development of a\nlong-range "ridge" in correlation measured as
a function of\n$\\Delta\\eta$ vs $\\Delta\\phi$. The detailed physics mec
hanisms\nresponsible for these features however remain under active\ninves
tigation.\n\nWe will present preliminary results of a new di-hadron correl
 ation\nanalysis\, measured as a function of $\\Delta \\phi$ vs $\\Delta \\
 eta$\,\nfor identified high-pT triggers from the high-statistics 200 GeV A
u+Au\ndata sample collected by the STAR experiment at RHIC during Run-10.\
nThe relativistic rise of the ionization energy loss dependence of\npartic
les measured in the STAR TPC is used to obtain a statistical\nseparation
 of charged pions\, kaons\, and protons. The $\\Delta \\phi$ vs\n$\\Delta \
\eta$ correlations measured in this work extend earlier\nmeasurements of a
 zimuthal correlations (in $\\Delta \\phi$ only) with\nidentified hadron t
riggers\, which\, admittedly with large\nuncertainties\, reported no sign
ificant dependence on a leading hadron\nidentity. The added $\\Delta \\eta
$ dimension and improved statistics\nreveal a rich set of new features: th
 e near-side ($ |\\Delta \\phi|\n\nhttp://indico.cern.ch/contributionDispla
