 he HEP department of the University of Manchester has purchased a 1000 nod
 es cluster. \nThe cluster will be accessible to various VOs through EGEE/L
 CG \ngrid middleware. One of the interesting aspects of the equipment boug
 ht is that each\nnode has 2x250 GB disks leading to a total of aproximatel
 y 4TB of usable disk space. \nThe space is intended to be managed using dc
 ache and its resilience features. \nThe following describes different dcac
 he configurations and disks and network layout\nadopted to exploit this sp
 ace. Different configurations can be used to target\ndifferent use cases. 
 An alternative method based on http technology will be also\ndescribed.\n\
