Prospects For Charged Higgs Discovery At Colliders (CHARGED 2010)

Purpose

In view of the ongoing experimental program at the LHC we are organizing a four days workshop on the theme “Prospects for Charged Higgs Discovery at Colliders” in Uppsala, Sweden 27-30 September 2010. This will be the third workshop of this kind - the first two ones held in September 2006 and 2008 in Uppsala. The plan is to bring together theorists and experimentalists to discuss recent developments regarding charged Higgs bosons and the potential for its discovery at the LHC. See also http://www.grid.tsl.uu.se/chargedhiggs2010/

Sponsors

The Workshop is sponsored by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences through its Nobel Institute of Physics and by the Swedish Research Council.

Howto upload your talk

To upload your slides to the indico system, please log into indico with the account, that you have registered with, and follow the instructions at http://indico.cern.ch/ihelp/html/QuickStartGuides/QSGSubmitter/Submitter.html#submitter

If you cannot see the "My conference" entry on the right, it might be that we need to adjust your preentation details. In that case, please contact claus.buszello@cern.ch and provide the name of the indico login you are using and the title of your presentation.

The review of the latest CMS physics results related to the preparation for the charged Higgs boson discovery at LHC will be given. In particular, the performance of the jet and missing Et reconstruction, b-jet tagging, the measurement of the jet-tau fake rate will be presented. The results on the W and Z cross-section measurement and observation of tt~ events will also be shown.
