This meeting will therefore address how the production of <ul> <li>quarkonia <li>open charm and beauty <li>jets <li>photons and dileptons </ul> and initial state nuclear parton structures can be used to obtain conclusive results from the heavy ion program. </p> <p>The meeting will start with a pre-conference school for graduate students and young post-docs on Thursday, November 4, 2004, consisting of survey lectures on different aspects of the topic. The actual conference will begin on Friday morning, November 5, 2004. </p> <p>The conference will be held in Ericeira, a charming fishing town and resort on the open Atlantic, somewhat northwest of Lisbon.
