CERN openlab is proposing a first-of-its-kind ‘Open Day’ event on 10 June, 2015. This will be the first in a series of annual events at which research and industrial teams from CERN openlab present their projects, share their achievements, and collect feedback from their user communities.

We are pleased to announce that you can now follow CERN openlab on Twitter (@CERNopenlab) and Facebook. The hashtag for the CERN openlab Open Day is #COOD15.

The Cointrin airport is a taxi journey from CERN (around 35 CHF) and has good public transport connections to the centre of Geneva.

Special rates for Hotels and Apartment Hotels in the local area can be found here: https://gs-dep.web.cern.ch/en/hotels-rates

We can recommend some hotels close to the railway station in Geneva, that are close to the tram line nr 18 ( to CERN) which stops outside the CERN reception (building 33) http://home.web.cern.ch/directions.

If you wish to stay on the French side of the boarder, we can recommend the Business Park Hotel in Thoiry. They have a pick up service at the airport, and their shuttle can bring you to and from CERN.
