Abstract Many models of new physics involve colored particles predicted to decay into hadronic final states. We present the results of searches for new heavy resonances in final states with up to 8 jets. Dedicated techniques have been developed to take advantage of the boosted topology and identify W and Z bosons. We also discuss a trigger strategy to extend the dijet search well below 1 TeV. These results are based on pp collision data collected with the CMS detector in 2011 and 2012.
