Event Description

HEPTech

HEPTech, is a Technology Transfer Network, addressing the challenge of High Energy Physics Research Organizations to transfer their technological developments to society, creating an impact in people's lives.

Open Innovation has become a widely discussed phenomenon in both Europe and the US in the ten years that have passed since the publication of Henry Chesbrough's book "Open Innovation: The new imperative for creating and profiting from technology".
There are many examples of individual companies that have adopted an Open innovation approach, and this trend, according to the Executive Survey on Open Innovation 2013, is growing. In such models companies can be more open to collaborate with other companies and/or institutions, in outsourcing and in sourcing IP, services, R&D for manufacturing purposes.

This event consist of a Workshop completely focused on Open Innovation and how this model can benefit Technology Transfer activities in Large Research Infrastrucutures or Public Research Organisations.
