Description
Optical Time Projection Chamber (OTPC) is a novel detector, taking a new approach to gaseous chambers. In this detector the electrical signal is converted to light and read-out using a cutting-edge CCD camera and a fast photomultiplier. This technique allowed to register angular correlations of two protons emitted from 45Fe. Such task was achieved for the first time and proved the three-body character of the two-proton radioactivity. In the talk I shall present data on another two-proton emitter investigated with the OTPC – 48Ni, as well as data on beta-delayed emitters 43Cr, 44Cr and 46Fe. The improvements in the detector itself over the last 5 years will also be mentioned.
