Ajaccio-Cargese school bus:
There will be two buses leaving Ajaccio airport on Monday July 14. The exact schedule will be adjusted according to the need of the majority of particpants. Tentative time: 2pm and 4pm. Further details will be available in due time.
Ajaccio-Cargese by public transportation:
There are regular buses operating twice a day between the harbour/bus station of Ajaccio and Cargese (see here) If you come by plane, there is a 20mn shuttle about every hour between the airport and the harbour: see here. In any case, you should plan to arrive in Cargese no later than 5PM. Please note: school accommodation in Cargese won't be available before Monday July 14 nor after Saturday July 26.
Housing in Cargese:
Various types of accommodation will be available at the following prices:
- (a) 530 euros: shared double room at the Institute (930 euros with the registration fees),
- (b) 530 euros: shared double room in the village (930 euros with the registration fees),
- (c) 650 euros: single room in the village, subject to availability (1050 euros with the registration fees).
Concerning accommodation, the requests for single rooms exceeded what is available, and we cannot guarantee that you will not share a double room. You'll receive private communication about your accommodation in due time.
Note that the accommodation cost also covers the price of the lunches at the Institute canteen, coffee breaks and social events. However breakfasts and dinners will be at your own charge (depending on your appetite, dinning in restaurants every night will cost you around 300 euros in total).
Registration fees & Payment:
Information for online payment of the registration fees (400 euros) will be sent to the participants in due time. If you have any trouble in paying your bill and for any question, please contact the organizers directly as soon as possible. The payment of housing and lunches will be done at the Institute, during the coffee breaks (credit cards will be accepted).
Departure bus on Saturday July 26:
There will be two buses leaving Cargese to Ajaccio airport on Saturday July 26 around 9am (exact time will be confirmed). If you need an earlier lift, please let Catherine Pinty know as soon as possible.
