Description
The Higgs production process in association with bottom quarks is reviewed. As for all mechanisms that feature bottom quarks at the hard-process level, two schemes can be pursued for the computation of the cross section, the four- and five-flavor scheme. I will discuss the application of the two approaches to bbH production and comment on their advantages and disadvantages. Novel results in both schemes are evaluated at the NLO accuracy matched to parton showers through MC@NLO. The results of the two schemes are compared for some prominent distributions. In the case of the Higgs transverse momentum, also the analytically-resummed cross section up to the NNLO+NNLL accuracy is considered. In addition, the effects of the interference between the bbH and gluon-fusion production mechanisms is analyzed.
