Highlights of the meeting:

• Guest talk around intranet & personalization: Swarovski Case Study by Daniela Prantl
• The MSF experience on Knowledge Management System, by Jorge Mazuze, Médecins Sans Frontières
• To be responsive to MSF information and knowledge challenges, OCG has decided to address a set of organisational issues identified as a source of waste (time, energy and efficiency). They include: a mass of unstructured content (document and information) leaded by a combination of over 40 years of accumulated experience and new dynamics of massive content production within the MSF Movement and from external organisations. This content is currently scattered in over 35 repositories, requiring more than 20 credentials for access (passwords), leading to the loss of institutional memory, unknown lists of people/experts, long field waiting times due to poor interactive information flow, field staff is overwhelmed by emails leading to “infobesity”.
• MSF will present the approach on how it has addressed its organisational issues, and how MSF selected its solutions the MSF association with academia and its potential outcome see attachment

• Business model approach to information management (preliminary)

• Of course, plenty of time for the discussion of current challenges of participating organizations
