Description

Last summer media all over the world reported that researchers from Sweden had found new evidence for the existence of a new element - the as yet unnamed element 115. But how many elements can actually be contained in the periodic table of elements? Where is the limit of observation and existence of the superheavy elements? Following a brief historical account the lecture will be about latest experimental methods and current research findings.
