Description

Heavy mesons may carry information on the early phase of the expansion of the quark gluon plasma because they do not come to a thermal equilibrium with the plasma particles. This makes them very interesting.
We report of our approach to describe the heavy quarks and their interaction with the plasma particles and compare the results with the presently available data. We discuss in detail whether correlations between heavy particles may give more insight into the reaction and how our results are related to the properties of the plasma during the expansion.
