AGENDA:
0 ) Agenda Review/Update
1) perfSONAR
i) Status report on v3.5rc2, MaDDash and upcoming release of 3.5 (Andy). Andy noted release date of September 28 is set for v3.5
Software changes: Philippe identified a memory leak in the registration demon (happened with RC2) and Andy produced a fix and put it in the repo.
Cleaning up the docs in prep for the release. Preparing for the perfSONAR face-to-face meeting. MaDDash 2.0 coming up later.
ii) Problem reports? No reported problems with the production. Horst reports /var is filling; /var/log/perfSONAR is the culprit. Horst found there were
lots of very old log files which he will clear up.
iii) Status of the testbed instances running 3.5rc2...any problems? Shawn reported on failed yum update. Dave reported that the last problem he
reported was due to the memory problem Philippe and Andy found/fixed. Philippe reported that using Chrome allows you to only view one graph but any succeeding
requests fail. Have to refresh to get another screen. Firefox works. Problem was noted on both Windows 7 and Windows 10.
2) Status of OSG Datastore and Network Services (Shawn)
OSG MaDDash at: http://psmad.grid.iu.edu/maddash-webui/ Shawn reported that the OSG Network Datastore is now "in production". Some minor issues still present but night major.
Currently the OSG ITB instance is testing new code from Edgar that will be migrated to production after 1 week (assuming no problems are seen).
3) Round-table about throughput, network, monitoring and new issues to track. Garhan asked Andy about BWCTL2 in perfSONAR Toolkit in 3.5. Andy noted it should be there
(along with the new corresponding user). May eventually be a replacement for BWCTL but is currently very "beta". Shawn noted there was a meeting about Saul's FTS work
today with the FTS developers. Saul has some suggested tunings for FTS to try to improve things. May get a future report on how those suggestions panned out.
4) AOB and next meeting. Garhan noted the MaDDash on psmad.grid.iu.edu had bad links to the OMD instance...uses "http" instead of "https". Shawn will notify OSG to get the links
updated. The current 2-week cadence of our throughput meetings needs to be shifted to avoid lots of conflicts for Shawn. There were no objections to
moving the meeting to the alternate 2-week cycle starting next week. Our next meeting will be Tuesday September 22, 2015 from 3-4 PM Eastern.
