Description
I will review the formalism of quantum geometry which encodes the exact Nekrasov-Shatashvili (NS) limit of various physical theories, and has been developed in my works over the last couple of years. It offers a simple, elegant, analytical and mathematical well rooted solution to the non-perturbative completion of the NS theories. Special emphasis will be given on the application to the NS limit of topological strings on toric Calabi-Yau backgrounds close to a conifold point in moduli space and the arising non-trivial phase structure over the combined Kaehler and string coupling moduli space.
