An over view of MDI issues will be presented. Forward detectors was covered by Klauss
Moenig, and machine-specific issues will be covered by Andei Seryi in the GDE plenary
session. This talkwill focus on detector-related issues such as the DID
(detector-integrated solenoid) and detector IR design.
