Precision measurements in nuclear beta decay in the LHC era

I will discuss what kind of new phenomena can be probed through precision measurements in nuclear and neutron beta decays. Using a model-independent description I will review the interplay between the different experiments and which ones are the most sensitive. Finally, I will discuss the synergy with searches at high-energy colliders, such as the LHC.
