Facebook's mission is to give people the power to share, and make the world more open and connected. Through growing family of apps and services, Facebook helps billions of people around the world connect and share what matters most to them. Making sure these apps and services are secure is a challenge that Product Security team is facing constantly. This talk will address strategies and tools that Product Security team developed in order to make Facebook secure while also contributing to the security of the Internet. The session will give an insight into Bug Bounty program and cover Open Source frameworks which may be used by anyone to improve security of their software.

About the speaker

Bartosz Niemczura works as a software engineer on Product Security team at Facebook. He is dedicated to solving security problems and building secure frameworks. Previously, he worked on Big Data Analysis tools as a part of IBM Great Minds program. In 2013, Bartosz worked as a technical student at CERN implementing database protections. He is a member of Polish Information Processing Society, and has a master degree in Computer Science from the AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland.
