Dick: discussed the upcoming HSF (HEP Software Foundation) Workshop at SDSC during Jan 23-26. For U.S. participants, it follows up the S2I2 HEP (NSF Scientific Software Innovation Institute for High Energy Physics) held at UICU 7-9 December, 2016. The purpose of the HSF Workshop is to start drafting a Community White Paper (CWP),
"A Roadmap for HEP Software and Computing R&D for the 2020s". Horst and Dick will attend.
Horst: OSG All Hands Meeting 6-10 March 2017 UCSD/SDSC
Rob: Working on future RSD workshops with ICTP to be held at Trieste in summer, 2017 and Sao Paulo in Dec. 2017. Perhaps up to 4 DOSAR members can participate in the Sao Paulo event.
Workshop being planned at USC that will target students from EPSCOR states. Question: wouldn't it be better if this was held at an EPSCOR state institution? i.e, are EPSCOR funds being diverted to California?
Kyle: he and Rob working on SWAMP cybersecurity project. Kyle will give presentation at next DOSAR meeting.
Next DOSAR meeting: Feb. 7 (Horst will be away on Jan. 24).
