Conference on "Water Observation and Information System for Decision Support." The Fourth International Scientific Conference BALWOIS 2010 will be held in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia from 25 to 29 May 2010. The main topics of BALWOIS 2010 International Conference on which abstracts and papers will be submitted are : * 1 - Climate and Hydrology * 2 - Environment and Human Activities * 3 - Water Related Risks * 4 - Integrated Water Resouces Management * 5 - Ecohydrology * 6 - Computing and Technologies A a specific session will be dedicated to a presentation Drought Management Centre for Southeastern Europe (DMCSEE) focusing on drought monitoring and related risks mitigation.

The conference is designed to facilitate sharing of experiences in water issue and management through presentation of scientific and technical papers and posters on planning research and development activities. BALWOIS 2010 is organized under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Macedonia Mr. Nikola Gruevski, Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of Republic of Macedonia and of the French Ambassador in Skopje. BALWOIS 2010 is organized by the Balkan Institute for Water and Environment - IB2E www.ib2e.org - the Macedonian Association of Meteorology METEO MAK, Faculty of Civil Engineering (Sts. Cyril and Methodius University - Skopje), University "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Bitola, Hydrometeorological Service of Macedonia and Hydrobiological Institute of Ohrid. BALWOIS Project is supported by Ministry of Ecology of France, International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) and various private companies.
