User-initiated request for self removal from the VO

Tanya will open 2 identical savannah bugs in the JRA1 tracker, assigned to herself and Andrea with the description agreed in our check-point meeting of last February and estimated delivery date for VOMRS. Vincenzo committed on behalf of Andrea that voms-admin-server-2.5 will include this feature (promised code release: June 2009, requested end of certification: September 2009). The user request will put him/her in suspension until the VO Admin takes removal action.

Status on voms-admin development for convergence phase I

The whole convergence is delayed. New dates:
  1. voms-admin-server-2.5 will correspond to convergence phase I, hence it will implement the JSPG requirements e.g. AUP re-signing and support for more than 1 certificates, promised code release: June 2009, requested end of certification: September 2009
  2. voms-admin-server-2.6 will correspond to convergence phase II, hence it will implement the additional vomrs functionality (except the CERN HR DB interface) e.g. VO members' sorting promised code release: November 2009, requested end of certification: December 2009
  3. voms-admin-server-2.7 will correspond to convergence phase III, hence it will implement the CERN HR DB interface, indispensable for LHC experiment VOs, promised code release: February 2010, requested end of certification: April 2010
Maria expressed worries on continuously moving voms-admin delivery dates into the future, given that the JSPG-required features were announced at the Helsinki All-Hands' meeting (June 2007) and they are still not done.
Vincenzo said that due to the move towards 'Product Teams', Dimitar is now part of their group as development and certification are now becoming one unit.

For a detailed list of features to be implemented in each convergence phase please check each bug description in section "VOMRS/Voms-Admin convergence plan".

FNAL VO Services Project closure

Gabriele reported that the project was a coordination activity no more needed as the products have now reached maturity. Official closing date is in June 2009. The mailing list privilege-project@fnal.gov will be kept. The FNAL commitment to vomrs remains:

Hi Maria,
you may have heard that the VO Services project is closing. The project
has been coordinating activities on middleware for access authorization
and user registration used by OSG, USCMS, USAtlas, Fermilab RunII
experiments, and other stakeholders. VOMRS was coordinated under this
umbrella.

We close the VO Services project because we believe that we do not need
anymore a project dedicated to coordinating activities across
authorization / registration middleware projects. Individual projects
will maintain their program of work.

This is the case for VOMRS. Tanya will be the project leader and your
contact for any future interactions. As for me, I'll be happy to address
any questions or concerns that you might have, with my Fermilab
Computing Division hat.

I take this occasion to thank you for all your involvement with VOMRS
and in particular for the coordination of the VOMRS and VOMS-admin
convergence.

Best,
Gabriele

CHEP'09 paper on vomrs/voms-admin convergence

The latest version of this paper, submitted to the CHEP'09 editors is attached to the agenda of this meeting. The Table 1 in Section 5.1 with delivery deadlines is wrong.

Status of CERN-CNAF voms replication

The actions agreed during our December 2008 check-point meeting are not done. They will be resumed after June 2009 after voms-admin-server-2.5 development is complete. ACTION: Andrea
