Discussion:
- Agenda: Approved.
- Comments on
the minutes from the January 29th 2009 USAG meeting:
Minutes approved.
- Continuous GGUS assessment via the escalation reports:
analysis from
the relevant escalation reports
- Invitation to review the EMT escalation reports by Maria to identify
areas in which support is weak.
- There is currently work in progress to strengthen the workload units
and split them in several units, dedicated to WMS, CE and batch systems.
- Can we have formal OLAs for other Support Units (SUs) than TPMs,
ROCs, Sites?
[SU list viewable by GGUS supporters.]
No units were identified as weak. No OLAs were proposed.
- CMS request: Pre-fill some fields on the GGUS ticket submission form. [Details in savannah #107215].
The idea is to create button to pre-prepare a ticket so that then the shifters can submit a ticket in an easier way.
- Helmut will come up with a proposal and will add it to the savannah item.
- Maria ask Joel if it is interesting also for LHCb. Joel will have a look.
For instance "concerned VO" filled automatically would be nice to have
for LHCb.
- Diana proposed to use the web service interface. CMS answered that they would rather have the URL than a web service to create a ticket.
- Alice made a similar request in 2007.
Conclusion: the work in interesting and progress and further
suggestions should be via the GGUS savannah item
- Discussion on new TPM team creation and training, FAQ and
mailing list set-up (NB! All CERN-based mailing lists are currently under-going a not-so-smooth migration to e-groups.)
The only way to improve this is via training. TPM monitoring and escalation reports help in capturing
but not in preventing.
- A suggestion was made to have training based on real cases. Maybe we
could have it at the next COD meeting in Bologna.
- Another option suggested is going to the region and have meetings
there. Meet the ROC when they do their work. But it was agreed to try
the COD meeting first, as it is cheaper than traveling to every ROC.
- As a general remark no VO present at the meeting suffered from the
wrong assignemnt of a ticket by a TPM.
Conclusion: Diana will ask Helene to find some time for the TPM meeting 1.5 hours
for TPM training at the next COD meeting in Bologna and will report at
the next USAG meeting.
- Any misrouted tickets to european sites following the implementation of Direct Routing to All Sites on Jan 21st 2009?. USA Tier1s will be handled in a dedicated meeting on March 12th. Report at the next USAG. [Any info missing from this FAQ?]
No comments. Only issue so far is by tickets opened by the site
themselves, who run the risk of seeing the ticket routed back at them.
- ACTION LIST:
Only 20090129-2 was pending in the
minutes of the previous meeting.
20090129-2
Document in TPM wiki the new TPMs' coaching and the new TPM role.

20090226-1

20090226-2

- A.O.B.
- It's show time folks! End of February: VOs to perform an ALARM ticket
test (full round from opening to ticket closing) to Tier1s. [ savannah
#105104]. and [testing rules]
Conclusion: Few clarifications on the body of the test tickets, that they have to contain
a "pretend problem" so that the site can test the whole procedure, and
should be done during the working hours of the target site.
- Decide on next meeting date:
Algorithm violation! Next meeting is on
2nd April 2009 @ 9:30am CET.
